Winterizing Your Property
Will you be leaving your property vacant during the upcoming winter?
Do you want to protect your investment & save on skyrocketing heating costs?
Do you want to remain "worry free" from damage caused during power outages or a heating system breakdown?
Winterization of a vacant property is critical through the cold weather months ahead. It allows for the heating system to be turned down or shut off completely during the cold winter months and can prevent severe water damage during long absences from your home, should the power be interrupted or the home's heating system breakdown causing pipes and plumbing fixtures to freeze, break and flood. A thorough winterization can help avoid needless water damage and mold!
Ken Griffin Plumbing Services, Inc.'s award winning service company can systematically winterize your hose bibs, water heater, faucets, toilets, bathtub and shower drains, ice maker, dishwasher, washer box, clothes washing machine, well water treatment equipment and/or storage tank. We use air compressors, anti-freeze and a comprehensive checklist to leave your pipes, appliances and plumbing fixtures in the best possible shape to winter without you!
We will coordinate a complete water shut off with the county, seal off toilet bowls, post notices in bathrooms and on the water heater in the home to prevent someone from turning on water once the process has been completed. As an added service, we can schedule a plumbing inspection with a licensed master plumber to certify your plumbing system before the property is winterized. Present this certificate to your home inspector or buyer to help avoid de-winterization and re-winterization costs.
As a member of the Howard County Association of Realtors, we have our own realtor key pad to enter the property, making the scheduling process simple. Why not schedule today! Print out the form, fill it out, fax or mail it back, then wait for your written cost estimate. Your return signature to us will authorize the work to be completed in a timely fashion. Once you receive our written notice that the work is finished, you are free to lower your heat or turn it off completely.
Please don't lower your heat until you have received our written notice that work is complete.
