Rinnai Energy Star Tankless Heaters, On Demand Water Heating

Rinnai Tankless Heater

  • Produces hot water only when there is a need for it, saving money and reducing energy costs associated with heating and reheating the same tank of water, all day long
  • Saves up to 40% on your energy bill
  • Gives you endless hot water
  • Lasts about 20 years- twice as long as the traditional tank heater
  • Much smaller than a traditional tank
  • The copper heat exchanger and stainless steel burner are recyclable, resulting in less material for landfills
  • SCAQMD approved
  • Produces very low Nox and CO2 emissions keeping your home with healthier and cleaner air

Here's how on demand water heaters work:

When there is a demand for hot water, the Rinnai unit senses the flow and starts the heating process. A water flow turbine signals the control board which is able to consider the temperature of the incoming water, recognize the water temperature controller setting on the heater, and calculate the difference between these two temperatures. Gas flows into the burner assembly, ignites the electronic ignition and allows fresh water to circulate through the copper heat exchanger as long as hot water is needed. Once the hot water is turned off, the tankless heater shuts down and waits in a standby mode until hot water is needed again.
