Save Energy with Energy Star Water Heaters
- President Obama signed The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 on February 17, 2009, making significant changes to homeowner tax credits for specified energy-efficient home improvements including residential water heaters with an energy factor (EF) of .82 or greater. The tax credit will be in effect through December 31, 2010 and includes 30% of the full purchase and installation price up to a maximum of $1,500.00.
- ENERGY STAR qualified water heaters save energy and help protect the environment, without sacrificing features or performance. They prevent greenhouse gas emissions and meet the energy efficiency guidelines established by the EPA and the Department of Energy of the United States.
