The EPA confirms that “Volatile chemicals produce vapors readily; at room temperature and normal atmospheric pressure, vapors escape easily from volatile liquid chemicals. They are emitted as gases from certain solids or liquids.” Outside, VOC's lead to global warming and poor air quality. Indoor spaces (where people spend 80% to 90% of their time) may produce an air quality that is five times worse than outdoor spaces. The indoor air quality depends on the level of ventilation, the types of chemicals and building materials installed, and time that has lapsed since installation.
