The Loading Dock
- The Loading Dock, Inc. allows usable building materials to be reused instead of being discarded in the landfill and waste system. Their warehouse maintains a constantly changing inventory of new and reusable building supplies.
- Anyone can purchase from the loading dock provided they are a member. To become a member, complete an online application and submit a $10.00 fee. The fee entitles you to membership for two people. You will also be able to attend “Do-It-Yourself” classes, and receive notices of special events and sales.
- Our bathroom and kitchen remodeling clients can consider donating their used materials. Homeowners can call 410-558-3625, ext 17 or complete the online donation form.
- Materials may also be deposited at the Alpha Ridge Landfill in Howard County at 2350 Marriottsville Road, Marriottsville, MD 21104. They should be placed in the trailer marked “building materials” in the Recycling Area. To receive a tax-deduction letter, mail The Loading Dock a list of items that were donated or complete the on-line donation form. Call the landfill for hours of operation at 410-313-5410.
